Watch through soap
Pre-analyze, then duck the word.
Play files here, or share a browser tab and listen through this page. For YouTube and most HTML5 players, the Chrome add-on mutes the site itself — no share prompt.
How tab share works
You listen here. The other tab stays muted.
A website cannot reach into YouTube or Netflix and cut the speakers. Sharing a tab copies picture and sound into SwearSoap. If the original tab is still audible, you will hear the swear anyway.
1
Mute the other tab
Open the video in Chrome. Right-click its tab and choose Mute site — or mute the player.
2
Share that tab
Click Share a tab below. In the browser prompt pick the Chrome Tab strip, not Window or Entire screen.
3
Tick Share tab audio
Bottom of the prompt. If this is off, SwearSoap gets a silent picture and cannot mute a word.
4
Watch in this page
Sound is held 3.5s, scanned, then played here with flagged words already down. Leave this tab open.
On YouTube, the Chrome add-on is simpler: it mutes the page itself, so you do not share or delay anything.
No tab shared yet
DRM apps (Netflix, Prime, Disney+) block in-page add-ons. Tab share is the way those still get a wash — mute the original tab, listen here.
