The SwearSoap add-on sits on YouTube and other HTML5 players, reads captions, and drops the video's volume for a flagged word. You stay on that site. No tab sharing. No delay.

Download
Save the zip, then unzip it to a folder you will keep. Chrome loads that folder, not the zip.

Open extensions
In Chrome or Edge go to chrome://extensions (or edge://extensions).

Developer mode
Turn on Developer mode (top right). Click Load unpacked and select the unzipped SwearSoap folder.

Pin it
Pin the soap mark. Open a video, press play, click the icon, and leave Protection on.
Use the add-on when
- You are on YouTube, news sites, or a normal HTML5 player.
- You want to stay on that page and hear it there.
- The player has captions — that is the most accurate mute map.
Use Share a tab when
- Netflix, Prime, Disney+, or any DRM app. Those block in-page audio.
- The add-on cannot attach to the player.
- You can mute the original tab and watch the picture in SwearSoap for a few seconds of look-ahead.
Chrome and Edge only. Firefox cannot load this pack the same way, and Safari has no tab-audio share. The add-on is sideloaded — it is not on the Chrome Web Store.
